New Retail Points at Fuzhou Changle Airport

Sinopharm Group's travel retail division, China National Service Corporation (CNSC), today opened two new duty-free stores at Fuzhou Changle International Airport's Terminal 2. These outlets, developed in partnership with Xiangye Group, cover both arrivals and departures.

The combined retail space totals 831.4 square meters and includes two primary formats: a dedicated tobacco and liquor store, and a comprehensive boutique for fragrance and cosmetics. This expansion marks a strategic move to enhance retail options for international travelers in Southeast China.

Expanded Beauty and Fragrance Offerings

The new CNSC stores place a strong emphasis on beauty, offering a broad selection of global brands across skincare, fragrance, and cosmetics. Travelers will find these international beauty products alongside imported and exported tobacco, liquor, and branded eyewear.

The outbound store is situated within the international departures quarantine area, while the inbound store is located in the arrivals baggage claim hall, ensuring accessibility for passengers at various stages of their journey through the airport.

Integrating Local Culture into Retail

The project operates under the theme 'Fuzhou charm, a new chapter in duty free,' integrating local cultural elements into the retail environment. Design features include jasmine motifs and 'Blessed Fuzhou' symbols across walls, light boxes, and photo installations.

This approach aims to create a distinctive shopping experience that blends Min capital cultural heritage with modern retail. The offerings also extend beyond traditional duty-free categories to include Fuzhou specialties like heritage jasmine tea, aligning with a broader 'duty-free + health + local specialities' concept.

Strategic Expansion and Market Impact

CNSC is running opening promotions at both Terminal 2 shops, including discounts of up to 40% storewide, fixed pricing on selected items, spend-and-gift offers, and member rewards. These openings are part of CNSC's strategy to strengthen its travel retail presence across Southeast China.

The company aims to pilot an integrated 'duty-free + health + local culture' format, broadening the airport retail offer and capturing more passenger spending. This initiative supports Fuzhou's ambition to become a regional shopping hub and an international gateway, driving innovation in domestic demand.
