Leadership Appointment in India

Eurofragance, a fragrance company based in Spain, appointed Shekhar Srinivasan as Managing Director for its India division. The company announced the appointment on August 4, 2026. Srinivasan will oversee Eurofragance's operations in India. His mandate includes driving business growth and strengthening customer relationships.

He will also focus on expanding the company's market presence. A key objective for Srinivasan is advancing Eurofragance's next growth phase in India. This includes developing a new manufacturing facility within the country.

Srinivasan's Background and Objectives

Srinivasan brings over two decades of leadership experience. His career spans the specialty chemicals, fragrance, and consumer goods sectors globally. Before joining Eurofragance, he served as Global Business Head at Godrej Industries (Chemicals). In that role, he managed a worldwide portfolio and reported significant revenue and profitability increases.

He previously held leadership positions at DSM-Firmenich, Ingevity India, Aranca, and PetroTel Inc. Srinivasan holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering and a Master of Science in Petroleum Engineering. He stated he is "thrilled to join Eurofragance at a pivotal stage" of its India growth.

Eurofragance's India Presence

Eurofragance established its presence in India in 2018. The company has since built a local team exceeding 50 employees. This team serves clients across the fine fragrance, home care, and personal care categories. Joan Pere Jimenez, Eurofragance CEO, welcomed Srinivasan.

Jimenez stated Srinivasan’s "extensive experience, global perspective, and proven leadership" would be instrumental. He added these qualities would help build on the company's momentum in India. Jimenez also noted they would strengthen Eurofragance's position in what he described as a dynamic fragrance market.

Implications for Asia's Beauty Sector

This appointment demonstrates Eurofragance's focus on the Indian fragrance market. For Asia's beauty industry, this move suggests continued investment in local manufacturing capabilities. Indian beauty brands and contract manufacturers may see increased competition or new partnership opportunities. The development of a new manufacturing facility signals a long-term commitment.

This could impact local supply chains for fragrance components. It also reflects a broader trend of international fragrance houses expanding direct operations in key Asian markets. This expansion aims to meet regional demand and localize production.
