Dr.Jart+ Names Yoonchae Jeung First North America Brand Ambassador
The Estée Lauder Companies-owned K-beauty brand appointed South Korean singer Yoonchae Jeung, 18, to lead its reformulated Premium BB Cream campaign in North America.

Dr.Jart+ Appoints North America Ambassador
Dr.Jart+, the K-beauty brand under Estée Lauder Companies, has announced South Korean singer Yoonchae Jeung as its inaugural North America Brand Ambassador. Jeung, an 18-year-old member of the girl group Katseye, will front the brand's upcoming campaign for its Premium BB Cream.
This collaboration signifies a new chapter for Dr.Jart+, aiming to merge its Korean skincare heritage with Jeung's contemporary perspective on beauty and individual expression. The brand stated this partnership aligns with its established practice of collaborating with prominent Korean artists to share its cultural origins globally.
Premium BB Cream Campaign Focus
The campaign featuring Jeung will highlight Dr.Jart+'s reformulated Premium BB Cream. This skincare-makeup hybrid product now includes 2% niacinamide and glycerin, which the brand claims provide moisturization and all-day SPF 30 coverage. Dr.Jart+ states the product delivers a natural 'glass skin' finish and is available in eight shades.
The brand's strategy involves showcasing the product's benefits through an artist whose influence spans music, fashion, and beauty, aligning with the brand's identity and consumer appeal.
Strategic Artist Collaborations
Ye Jin Kim, VP/Global Brand Lead for Dr.Jart+, emphasized the role of music, particularly K-pop, in the brand's cultural presence. Kim noted the brand's preference for collaborating with Korean artists to share its origins with a worldwide audience. This approach builds on Dr.Jart+'s prior partnerships with other Korean artists, including the boy band Enhypen.
Katseye, formed in 2024, is recognized for hits such as ‘Gabriela’, ‘Animal’, and ‘Gnarly’. Jeung expressed her personal belief in skincare as self-care and her appreciation for Dr.Jart+'s innovative and enjoyable products.
Implications for Asia's Beauty Market
This strategic appointment by Dr.Jart+ reflects a growing trend among K-beauty brands to leverage the global appeal of K-pop artists for market expansion beyond Asia. For Korean brands, securing high-profile ambassadors like Yoonchae Jeung for Western markets, specifically North America, can significantly boost brand visibility and consumer engagement.
This approach provides a clear roadmap for other Asian beauty companies seeking to penetrate or strengthen their presence in international markets, demonstrating the commercial value of cultural exports in driving beauty product sales. Brands should consider how similar partnerships can open new distribution channels and consumer demographics.
