Harding+ Adds Medicube, Biodance, Thank You Farmer K-Beauty to European Cruise Ships
Cruise retailer Harding+ has expanded its K-beauty offerings on European vessels, introducing Medicube, Biodance, and Thank You Farmer. This move responds to increasing passenger demand for ingredient-focused skincare products.

K-Beauty Expansion on European Cruises
Harding+ has expanded its Korean beauty (K-beauty) selection on European cruise ships this month, introducing three new skincare brands: Medicube, Biodance, and Thank You Farmer. This expansion demonstrates growing passenger interest in ingredient-focused skincare products within the cruise retail channel.
Medicube offers its Collagen range and Zero Pore Cleansing Pads, while Biodance provides collagen sheet masks. Thank You Farmer contributes its SPF collection to the new lineup. This initiative is part of Harding+'s broader strategy to bring emerging global brands to the cruise market, catering to evolving consumer preferences.
Strategic Merchandising and Prior Success
The integration of these brands builds on Harding+'s existing K-beauty portfolio. Earlier, Korean skincare brand Anua increased its presence with Harding+, moving from 14 to 27 ships following favorable sales since its initial launch.
Harding+ states its merchandising strategy focuses on a simple skincare routine, guiding guests through steps like cleansing, treatment, moisturizing, and sun protection factor (SPF). This approach aims to simplify product selection for travelers, rather than organizing products solely by brand.
The partnership for these new brands began after a meeting last year between Harding+ Beauty Category Manager Caitlin Allen and Luneia Brands Managing Director Gemma Murari at an industry event.
Implications for Asian Beauty Brands
This move reflects K-beauty's continued expansion into diverse retail environments, moving beyond traditional beauty counters and online platforms. For Asian brands like Medicube, Biodance, and Thank You Farmer, securing distribution on cruise lines provides access to a new demographic of international consumers, particularly those seeking specific ingredient-led formulations.
The collaboration highlights a strategic shift for K-beauty from a niche category to a more widely recognized segment, reaching consumers in new travel retail settings. This provides Asian beauty brands a pathway to broader market reach and demonstrates the category's maturation into diverse retail verticals, as noted by Luneia Brands Managing Director Gemma Murari.
