Debut at Premiere Vision Paris

Kolmar Korea, a South Korean cosmetics manufacturer, participated in Premiere Vision Paris this year. The company became the first Korean cosmetics firm to exhibit at the fashion materials trade show. The event took place in Paris from Tuesday through Thursday.

Premiere Vision Paris featured over 900 companies across eight specialized categories, including yarns, fabrics, and design. This year's event introduced a new 150-square-meter exhibition area called "Cosmetic Village." This section aims to encourage cooperation between the fashion and beauty industries. Ten beauty companies presented their products and technologies within this dedicated space.

K-Beauty Color and Technology Display

Kolmar Korea's exhibit at the Cosmetic Village operated under the theme "Beauty Meets Fashion." The company displayed 27 distinct colors, which it stated were inspired by Premiere Vision’s fall-winter 2027-28 trends. Its booth also featured various color cosmetics and related technologies. Representatives from global fashion and luxury brands visited Kolmar Korea's display.

These visitors created their own color combinations and sampled the company’s lip products. The manufacturer noted significant visitor interest in products that combined a broad color palette with concepts drawn from fashion.

Expanding Global Market Presence

An official from Kolmar Korea stated the exhibition provided an opportunity to introduce the company's technology and color cosmetics development capabilities to the global market. The official added that Kolmar Korea plans to continue building its expertise. The company also intends to apply new technologies to create distinctive products.

This strategic engagement demonstrates Kolmar Korea's focus on broadening its international reach and enhancing its product development efforts. The participation aligns with a broader strategy to connect K-beauty innovation with international fashion trends.

Implications for Asian Beauty Manufacturers

Kolmar Korea’s presence at Premiere Vision Paris reveals a direct channel for beauty manufacturers to engage with fashion and luxury brands at an early trend-setting stage. This approach can inform product development strategies for Asian beauty brands seeking to align their offerings with future color and aesthetic directions.

For contract manufacturers in Asia, exhibiting at such cross-industry events may open new client relationships beyond traditional beauty-only trade shows. This is particularly relevant for partnerships with fashion houses seeking integrated product lines. The engagement also suggests a growing demand for beauty products closely linked to seasonal fashion themes.
