Lumson Buys US, Asia Beauty Packaging Firms
The Italian primary packaging specialist now holds direct operations across Europe, North America, and Asia, expanding its supply chain for global beauty brands.

Global Packaging Expansion
Italian primary packaging provider Lumson completed two acquisitions to strengthen its international operations. The company acquired Lombardi Design and Manufacturing in the United States and Lombardi Design & MFG Limited in Asia. This move forms part of Lumson's long-term growth plan, designed to better serve its global client base.
Lumson executed the US acquisition through its American subsidiary. Concurrently, the group secured 100% ownership of Lombardi Design & MFG Limited. These transactions represent a strategic step to bolster Lumson's industrial and technological capabilities, funded by a consortium of banks, as it expands its footprint across key worldwide markets for cosmetic primary packaging.
Reinforcing Market Presence
The acquisitions establish Lumson's direct presence across three continents: Europe, North America, and Asia. This enhances its capacity to support global beauty and personal care brands while expanding commercial and industrial relationships in crucial markets.
Lumson stated the purchase of Lombardi Design and Manufacturing brings the group closer to its North American customers. Similarly, the acquisition of Lombardi Design & MFG Limited reinforces Lumson's market position within Asia and the broader Asia-Pacific region.
This expanded geographic reach complements Lumson's existing European operations, allowing it to support international clients more effectively in major cosmetic packaging markets globally.
Management Continuity and Synergies
Lombardi Design and Manufacturing will continue to operate under its current name and brand identity. Carl Lombardi will remain as Chief Executive Officer, ensuring management continuity and overseeing the company's integration into the Lumson Group.
Matteo Moretti, President of Lumson Group, described these acquisitions as a "key strategic milestone" for the company's international growth. He noted that the industrial and geographic alignment of the businesses will allow Lumson to be closer to its global customers and accelerate growth across international markets.
Carl Lombardi added that this partnership will expand capabilities and deliver greater value to customers, drawing on Lumson Group's international experience and operational reach.
Opportunities for Asia's Beauty Industry
Lumson's expanded operations, particularly the direct presence through Lombardi Design & MFG Limited in Asia, creates new avenues for beauty and personal care brands in the region. Asian manufacturers and brand owners will now have direct access to Lumson's integrated global supply chain for primary packaging solutions.
This development offers the prospect of more streamlined sourcing processes and potentially competitive pricing for packaging components. Brands seeking to innovate their product presentation or optimize supply logistics should inquire about Lumson's expanded capabilities by the fourth quarter of 2026.
