Pre-registration is now open for the Personal Care and Homecare Ingredients (PCHi) trade show, scheduled for February 24–26, 2027, in Guangzhou, China. The event focuses on ingredient and formulation innovation, responding to evolving consumer and regulatory demands in Asia's beauty sector.

PCHi China 2027 Set for Guangzhou
PCHi China 2027 has opened pre-registration for its Personal Care and Homecare Ingredients trade show. The event is scheduled for February 24–26, 2027, in Guangzhou, China. It will occupy seven exhibition halls at the China Import and Export Fair Complex.
The show features ingredient and formulation innovation, alongside the PCHi Annual Industry Conference and the PCHi Fountain Awards. PCHi aims to be the first major industry gathering of the year, connecting formulators, brand owners, R&D professionals, regulatory affairs specialists, buyers, and solution providers across China and the Asia-Pacific region. The 2026 edition drew over 50,000 trade professionals and more than 860 exhibitors from 72 countries and regions.
Market Shifts Drive Demand for Evidence-Based Claims
China's regulatory and consumer landscape continues to influence global personal care innovation. PCHi serves as a direct platform for the industry to observe these shifts. Euromonitor International's 2026 Global Consumer Trends report reveals that 49% of consumers would pay at least 10% more for premium beauty products featuring scientific formulations.
Retail sales of dermocosmetics posted a double-digit compound annual growth rate in every region from 2020 to 2024. Brands are responding by requesting that suppliers and formulators support product claims with specific mechanisms, biological targets, and clinical validation, moving beyond concentration alone.
Visitor data from the 2026 show indicated R&D professionals formed the largest group at 28.7%, followed by marketing at 23.3%, senior management at 19.6%, and purchasing and procurement at 14.4%.
Implications for Asia's Beauty Supply Chain
The PCHi exhibition floor, conference sessions, and technical forums offer visitors direct insight into how suppliers across the value chain are addressing these market changes. A spokeswoman for Reed Sinopharm Exhibitions, the show organiser, stated that the industry now seeks to understand "how and why it works," rather than just listing ingredients.
This demand comes from brands, regulators, and consumers. The event aims to facilitate discussions on evidence-based innovation among formulators, suppliers, and researchers. For Asia's beauty economy, PCHi provides crucial early visibility into market demands and supplier responses.
This enables brands and formulators in the region to adapt their product development and sourcing strategies to meet the increasing consumer willingness to invest in scientifically backed beauty products, and to navigate evolving regulatory requirements.
