Albéa Unveils Packaging Innovations at Luxe Pack Monaco
Albéa showcased new collections for makeup, skincare, and fragrance at Luxe Pack Monaco, focusing on eco-design, refillability, and enhanced user experience. The event also marked 70 years since Albéa Tubes launched the first plastic cosmetic tube in France.

Albéa Highlights Eco-Design and Refillability
Albéa presented its latest packaging innovations for makeup, skincare, and fragrance at Luxe Pack Monaco 2026, held from September 28–30. The company brought together its Cosmetics & Fragrance and Tubes divisions to highlight new collections, applicator technologies, and tube decoration solutions.
A key focus for Albéa was on eco-design, refillability, sensory appeal, and visual differentiation in its new offerings. The event also celebrated the 70th anniversary of Albéa Tubes in France, commemorating the company's introduction of the first plastic cosmetic tube in 1956 as an alternative to aluminum packaging.
New Collections Reflect Beauty Trends
Albéa's Cosmetics & Fragrance division introduced two collections inspired by current beauty trends. The "Kute Beauty" collection, drawing from K-beauty influences, features compact formats, rounded shapes, and playful designs for makeup and skincare.
Examples include the 30 ml Amara tottle, made from 100% polypropylene (PP) and available in dome and flat designs, and the travel-friendly Fluff tottle for hand and skincare. Albéa is also studying options for monomaterial packaging and post-consumer recycled (PCR) content to meet EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) requirements.
The "Makeup by Albéa" collection addresses the trend of expressive makeup, offering packaging and applicators designed for creative looks and precise application, including compacts exploring PET mirrors and the proprietary Interlace twisted-brush technology.
Advancements in Tubes and Decoration
Albéa Tubes showcased new solutions emphasizing application experience, visual differentiation, and packaging recyclability, building on its seven decades of development. The "Soft Range" of thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) applicators, manufactured in Europe, includes Soft Lips, Soft Dropper, and Soft Bevel, providing a soft feel for precise skincare and makeup application.
The "Artist" applicator family uses various materials for precision and controlled formula delivery. For decoration, the "(Re)flex" plastic barrier laminate (PBL) tube offers a metallic appearance without metal, available in 30 to 50 mm diameters with various finishes.
This recyclable tube can integrate "InvisiSeam" technology for a virtually invisible side-seam, maximizing the printable surface. Albéa's "Fancy Deco" portfolio further enhances shelf appeal with effects like Spectral, Opal, and 3D Touch.
Refillability and Asia's Market
Albéa is expanding its refillable packaging solutions, introducing new monomaterial sticks for skincare and solid fragrance, alongside the rechargeable, monomaterial Balmy tube. The company is also developing tubes as robust, premium alternatives to flexible refill pouches, and extending its focus to sun care and hair care applications.
For Asia's beauty market, these innovations present opportunities for brands seeking to enhance their sustainability credentials and visual appeal. As consumers across markets like South Korea and Japan increasingly prioritize eco-conscious options, Albéa's focus on monomaterial and refillable designs directly addresses growing demand for reduced environmental impact.
Asian brands could explore integrating these advanced packaging solutions to differentiate products and meet evolving regulatory landscapes, such as those influencing packaging waste in Europe.
