Unilever Q3 2026 Sales Up 5.2%, Beauty and Personal Care Drive Growth
Unilever's Q3 2026 turnover reached €13.3 billion, with 5.2% underlying sales growth from Beauty & Personal Care. Emerging markets, including Asia, showed strong performance.

Unilever Reports Strong Q3 2026 Performance
Unilever announced a 5.2% increase in underlying sales growth for the third quarter of 2026. The consumer goods giant recorded a total turnover of €13.3 billion for the period, marking a 6.7% rise. This performance was primarily fueled by significant contributions from its Beauty & Wellbeing and Personal Care divisions.
The company also upgraded its full-year volume growth forecast to a minimum of 3%, while keeping its underlying sales growth projection at 4%–6%. This reflects continued momentum across its diverse portfolio, with group volume growth reaching 2.9% and pricing contributing 2.3% to the overall results.
Beauty and Personal Care Segments Lead Growth
The Beauty & Wellbeing segment achieved a 5.7% underlying sales growth, driven by strong demand for several key brands. Dove, Vaseline, Sunsilk, Clear, and K18 all reported double-digit growth within this division. Concurrently, the Personal Care segment saw a 6.3% increase in underlying sales, largely propelled by robust sales in skin cleansing and deodorants categories.
These results show the strategic importance of cosmetic and personal care products within Unilever’s overall business, aligning with its ongoing transition towards a more focused home and personal care portfolio.
Emerging Markets Drive Regional Gains
Unilever’s performance in emerging markets was particularly strong, showing a 9.5% growth in underlying sales. This expansion was notably led by key regions including India, Latin America, and Southeast Asia. In contrast, developed markets experienced a slight decline of 0.9%.
This geographic disparity reveals the increasing consumer demand in developing economies for beauty and personal care products. The company’s focus on these high-growth markets, coupled with its investment in established brands, appears to be a successful strategy for maintaining performance.
Implications for Asia's Beauty Economy
Unilever's robust growth in Beauty & Wellbeing and Personal Care, particularly in India and Southeast Asia, offers insights for regional brands and manufacturers. The strong demand for established brands like Dove, Vaseline, and Sunsilk in these markets suggests continued opportunities for companies with well-recognized products and effective distribution networks.
For Asian beauty businesses, these results show the potential for sustained investment in brand building, product innovation, and expanding reach within high-growth emerging economies.
The strategic shift by a global player like Unilever towards a more focused personal care portfolio also signals increased competition and a need for local brands to differentiate through targeted offerings and agile market responses.
