Amorepacific AESTURA Named Korea's Top Dermocosmetic Brand by Euromonitor
Amorepacific's AESTURA brand secured the top dermocosmetic sales position in Korea, according to Euromonitor International data. This recognition follows the brand's strategic shift from hospital distribution to mainstream retail and aggressive global expansion, including entry into European and North American markets.

AESTURA Leads Korean Dermocosmetic Sales
Amorepacific’s AESTURA brand is Korea’s top-selling dermocosmetic skincare brand, according to data compiled by global market intelligence firm Euromonitor International. Amorepacific announced this finding on Thursday. The company states this recognition reflects AESTURA’s position within Korea’s expanding derma skincare sector.
AESTURA’s origins trace back to Pacific Pharma in 1982, combining this pharmaceutical heritage with Amorepacific’s skincare research capabilities.
Strategic Shift to Mainstream Retail
AESTURA initially sold dermatological cosmetics through hospitals, beginning in 2008. The brand later broadened consumer access by launching its ATOBARRIER365 Cream at Olive Young in 2018. This move expanded product availability beyond dermatology clinics into mainstream retail channels.
Amorepacific claims the ATOBARRIER365 Cream, a barrier-moisturizing product for sensitive skin, sells one unit every five seconds globally. The product also ranked first in the cream category of the Olive Young Awards for 2024 and 2025.
Accelerated Global Distribution
AESTURA has accelerated its international expansion following its domestic growth. The brand entered Japan, Vietnam, and Thailand prior to 2025. Last year (2025), AESTURA launched at Sephora in the U.S. Subsequently, it expanded into Canada, Australia, and China. This year (2026), AESTURA entered major European markets.
The company reports its products are now available in approximately 860 Sephora stores across 19 countries. This represents an increase from the approximately 680 Sephora stores across 17 European countries reported in March 2026.
Implications for Asian Beauty Brands
AESTURA’s trajectory demonstrates a viable path for other Korean and Asian dermocosmetic brands aiming for international growth. The strategy of transitioning from specialized clinic distribution to major retail channels like Olive Young and Sephora expands market reach significantly.
This approach offers insights for brands developing sensitive skin solutions validated in their home markets. An AESTURA official stated the company plans to expand these solutions globally and develop AESTURA into a leading global derma brand, underscoring continued focus on export-driven growth.
