Hugel Trains 25 Taiwanese Professionals on Letybo, The Chaeum in Korea
Hugel hosted 25 Taiwanese healthcare professionals for its LEAD program last week, aiming to boost market share for Letybo botulinum toxin and The Chaeum HA filler in Taiwan.

Hugel's LEAD Program in Korea
Hugel hosted 25 healthcare professionals from Taiwan in Korea for its global educational program, LEAD (Letybo Experience & Discovery), from September 16 to 19, 2026. This initiative aims to strengthen Hugel's presence in the key Asia-Pacific medical aesthetics market.
Participants toured Hugel’s manufacturing facilities for its botulinum toxin product Letybo and hyaluronic acid (HA) filler The Chaeum, known as Revolax in Taiwan. The visit provided a detailed overview of Hugel’s manufacturing processes and quality management systems for these aesthetic products.
Clinical Training and Market Insights
During their visit, the Taiwanese professionals also explored Korea’s medical aesthetics market by visiting local clinics. They learned about the latest trends, treatment techniques, and clinical cases reflecting these developments.
Dr. Lee Seung-ju, director of The Other Dermatology, conducted live demonstrations using Letybo and The Chaeum, offering practical training on their clinical applications. This hands-on experience is a core part of Hugel’s strategy to deepen its network and engagement with healthcare professionals in Taiwan.
Taiwan Market Position and Growth Targets
Taiwan represents a significant medical aesthetics market within the Asia-Pacific region, showing strong demand for treatments involving botulinum toxin, HA fillers, and skin boosters. Hugel was the first Korean company to enter Taiwan's botulinum toxin market in 2019, establishing a direct sales system through its local subsidiary.
The company currently holds approximately 30 percent of Taiwan’s botulinum toxin market, ranking second. Hugel aims to increase this market share to 35 percent by 2027.
Portfolio Expansion and Strategic Outlook
Beyond botulinum toxin, Hugel plans to gradually expand its HA filler portfolio in Taiwan, which launched in the first half of 2025. This expansion seeks to create synergies with its existing botulinum toxin business, further solidifying its market position.
Ji Seung-wook, executive vice president of Hugel, stated the company will continue to grow its botulinum toxin market share while enhancing the competitiveness of its broader product range, including HA fillers and cosmetics.
This integrated approach signals that other medical aesthetics players in Taiwan may face increased competition as Hugel targets a 35% botulinum toxin market share by 2027 and expands its product offerings.
