Reality TV Appearance Boosts Clinic Visibility
365mc, a Korean provider of obesity treatments, recently featured its Bangkok clinic on the Thai makeover reality show “SURGERY WARS.” The company reported this appearance aimed to increase its visibility within Thailand's medical aesthetics market. The program, which aired previously, showcased various body-contouring procedures.
According to local media reports cited by 365mc, the show's first two episodes generated 20 million combined views across its official social media accounts and online platforms. This exposure reportedly led to significant public engagement, including content creator reviews and inquiries about future participation.
Targeted Fat Removal for Male Contouring
Dr. Jan, head of 365mc's Bangkok clinic, represented the facility on the show, overseeing contestants’ aesthetic treatments. One case involved Adam Petchai, a 27-year-old man, who sought to address excess fat in his abdomen and chest. Dr. Jan utilized LAMS (Localized Anesthetic Minimal-Invasive Liposuction), a procedure developed by 365mc.
The company claims LAMS targets localized fat removal to reshape the overall upper-body contour, including the chest, abdomen, flanks, and jawline. 365mc stated Petchai showed a flatter chest and abdomen with more defined contours after the procedure.
Fat Transfer for Feminine Silhouette and Breast Enhancement
Another contestant, Aiya Siwa, a 23-year-old transgender woman, sought a slimmer waist and abdomen while adding volume around her hips. For Siwa, Dr. Jan employed “Heopagori LAMS,” a method 365mc describes as combining localized fat removal with autologous fat transfer.
This technique involves harvesting fat from areas like the abdomen and transferring it to the hips to adjust body proportions. 365mc claims this approach aims to create a more feminine silhouette. The company also stated that this fat-transfer method can enhance breast contours, either by adding volume directly or by refining their shape alongside implants.
Implications for Medical Aesthetics Marketing in Asia
365mc's strategy highlights a marketing pathway for medical aesthetics clinics in Southeast Asia. Leveraging popular reality television shows can increase brand recognition and patient inquiries in competitive markets like Thailand.
The focus on specific procedures like LAMS and fat transfer also demonstrates a market for targeted body contouring solutions, including those for gender-affirming aesthetics. This approach provides a case study for other regional providers considering media partnerships to promote specialized treatments and reach a wider consumer base across Asia.
