Noul Secures Bosnia Supply Deal

Korean medical AI company Noul announced on Wednesday a new supply agreement for its miLab CER cervical cancer screening system in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The company will partner with a local medical device distributor to deploy its AI-powered solution, marking Noul's entry into the Bosnian market. This initiative aims to enhance diagnostic capabilities for women's health.

The agreement specifies the supply of a minimum of 16 miLab CER units over the next three years, along with necessary testing cartridges and other consumables, with volumes tied to actual testing activity.

miLab CER System Capabilities

Noul's miLab CER system automates the entire cervical cytology testing process, from sample staining and digital imaging to AI-assisted analysis. According to Noul, the system addresses a critical need for faster screening results in Bosnia, where traditional Pap test outcomes can typically take three to four weeks.

The miLab CER is designed to initially serve private diagnostic laboratories. Noul plans to expand its reach to university hospitals and public healthcare institutions across the country in subsequent phases of its market strategy.

Expanding European Presence

This latest agreement follows Noul's strategic expansion into the broader European market. Last November, the company established an exclusive distribution partnership with Biomedica, a prominent distributor of medical devices across Central and Eastern Europe. This earlier deal extended Noul's sales network into the Balkans region.

Further demonstrating its commitment to European engagement, Noul also presented research on its miLab CER system at the International Papillomavirus Conference (IPVS 2026) in Athens, Greece, last week.

During the conference, Noul engaged with medical specialists and laboratory representatives from various European nations to discuss potential product adoption and distribution strategies.

Implications for Asia's Professional Aesthetics

Noul's expansion into Bosnia and Herzegovina with its AI-powered diagnostic system shows a growing trend among Korean beauty-tech and professional aesthetics companies to seek international market penetration.

While miLab CER is a medical device, its AI and automation capabilities reflect advancements in Korean technology that could be adapted for professional aesthetic clinics or wellness centers. This move highlights the potential for Asian device manufacturers to leverage specialized technology for niche healthcare markets globally.

Other Asian firms in medical aesthetics may consider similar strategies for market entry, focusing on regions with specific unmet needs, such as demand for faster diagnostic turnaround times.
