Humedix Gathers 500 Professionals for Re2O Safety Summit in Seoul
South Korean firm Humedix convened 500 healthcare professionals in Seoul on October 9, 2026, to discuss its human tissue-derived product, Re2O, used in aesthetic and reconstructive procedures.

Humedix Hosts Re2O Masters Summit
Humedix, a subsidiary of Huons Group, jointly hosted the Re2O Masters Summit with L&C Bio in Seoul on October 9, 2026. Approximately 500 healthcare professionals attended the event at the Westin Seoul Parnas.
The symposium focused on the safety, regulatory oversight, and clinical applications of Re2O, a product derived from human tissue for use in aesthetic and reconstructive procedures. This summit also marked the second anniversary of Re2O's launch, which occurred in 2024.
The gathering aimed to foster discussion among medical experts regarding the responsible use and management of such advanced biomaterials in the professional aesthetics sector.
Rigorous Regulatory Oversight for Tissue Products
A key discussion point at the summit involved the management of human-derived dermal extracellular matrix (ECM). This included detailed processes for tissue sourcing, infectious disease screening, and ensuring product traceability.
Humedix states that Re2O is based on human acellular dermal matrix (hADM), which is produced by purifying donated skin tissue from deceased donors obtained through U.S. tissue banks. According to Humedix, the donor consent process allows for the use of this donated tissue in developing products for aesthetic and reconstructive purposes.
The company also confirmed that Re2O is manufactured under procedures supervised by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS), covering donor eligibility, disease screening, viral safety, and residual DNA monitoring.
Clinical Applications and New Product Formulations
Beyond regulatory discussions, six dermatologists and plastic surgeons presented clinical cases and approaches for the safe application of Re2O. Dr. Im Hyung-woo of 4EVER Plastic Surgery Clinic shared insights on Re2O's use in lower eyelid procedures. Dr. Park Je-young from Apgujeong Oracle Clinic presented the Re2O Fine formulation for the under-eye area.
Dr. Yoon Seong-jae of Leaders Dermatology Clinic Apgujeong Branch detailed techniques for applying Re2O to various skin layers. Dr. Rhee Do-young from Hill House Dermatology Clinic introduced official guidelines developed by Re2O ABM to standardize safe clinical applications.
The event also featured Dr. Shin Dong-woo of Navi Plastic Surgery Clinic, who discussed early clinical experiences with Re2O V, a new product designed for dermis reconstruction and addressing volume loss.
Humedix's Future in Regenerative Medicine
Humedix CEO Kang Min-jong stated the summit's purpose extended beyond product promotion, focusing instead on skin reconstruction and functional improvement within Korea's regulatory framework for human tissue products. He affirmed Humedix's commitment to the responsible development of the ECM industry through stringent management and accountability.
The company aims to become a trusted partner in both domestic and international medical and regenerative medicine sectors. This event highlights the industry's growing focus on ethical sourcing and regulatory compliance for advanced biomaterials.
Asian companies developing or utilizing similar human tissue-derived products must ensure equally rigorous oversight and transparent supply chains to meet evolving market and regulatory expectations, impacting product development and market entry strategies across the region.
