Hyundai Glovis, Shopee Korea Launch K-Beauty Export Service
The integrated logistics platform, introduced this month, aims to streamline shipping, customs, and fulfillment for Korean cosmetics brands targeting 700 million users across Southeast Asia.

Streamlining K-Beauty Exports to Southeast Asia
Hyundai Glovis, a logistics provider, and Shopee Korea have introduced an integrated service designed to simplify the export process for Korean cosmetics brands. The announcement came on Monday, October 24, 2026, with the service launching this month.
This new offering covers the entire supply chain for beauty products, starting from domestic collection in Korea, managing international shipping, handling customs clearance and necessary regulatory approvals, and finally ensuring local order fulfillment in destination markets.
The partnership aims to significantly reduce delivery times, cut logistics expenses, and ease the burden of complying with diverse local regulations, which often pose a considerable challenge for Korean beauty companies entering new overseas markets.
Shopee's Extensive Platform and Market Demand
Shopee, recognized as one of Southeast Asia's largest e-commerce platforms, plays a crucial role in this collaboration. The platform reaches approximately 700 million users across Southeast Asia and Taiwan, with operations also extending to Brazil.
The increasing consumer interest in Korean cosmetics has positioned Shopee as an important gateway for brands aiming to reach international customers. Looking ahead, Hyundai Glovis and Shopee plan to broaden their partnership beyond the initial focus on Southeast Asia.
Future expansion includes Latin America and other global markets, intending to support a wider range of cross-border sales for Korean products.
Hyundai Glovis' Strategic Expansion Goals
This initiative aligns with Hyundai Glovis' broader corporate strategy to diversify its business operations beyond its traditional ties with Hyundai Motor Group. The logistics firm has set an ambitious target to increase its revenue generated from non-affiliated customers to 40 percent of its total sales by the year 2030.
To achieve this, Hyundai Glovis is leveraging its extensive global network, which encompasses road, sea, and air freight capabilities. An official from Hyundai Glovis commented on the partnership, stating an expectation for "strong synergies" between Shopee's platform reach and Hyundai Glovis' comprehensive logistics network.
The goal is to transform logistics into a "competitive advantage" for Korean brands expanding internationally, rather than merely a cost factor.
Implications for Korean Beauty Brands and Market Access
For Korean beauty brands, this new integrated logistics service offers a direct solution to some of the most persistent challenges in international market entry. By consolidating various shipping and compliance steps under a single provider, brands can anticipate a more straightforward and potentially faster route to market in Southeast Asia.
This simplification is particularly beneficial for navigating complex regulatory landscapes and managing diverse customs requirements, which previously acted as significant barriers.
The partnership creates a clearer path for K-beauty products to access Shopee's vast customer base, specifically targeting the hundreds of millions of consumers within the initial Southeast Asian and Taiwanese markets.
The stated intention to expand into Latin America suggests a template for future global distribution strategies, offering a scalable model for Korean cosmetics exports.
