Event Scale and Focus

The in-cosmetics Asia trade show will convene in Bangkok, Thailand, from November 3 to 5 at BITEC. Event organizers report this year's exhibition will be its largest to date, hosting more than 770 global and regional exhibitors. This represents a 10% increase in exhibitor participation compared to 2025.

The event aims to gather formulators, research and development specialists, brand teams, and other industry experts. Over three days, attendees will explore personal care science, new ingredients, and consumer trends impacting the Asia Pacific beauty sector.

Key Themes and Programs

Key themes for the 2026 show include skin health and longevity. Mintel claims 72% of Gen Z consumers in Thailand prioritize proactive steps to protect their skin's future appearance, reflecting a consumer shift towards preventative care. The event introduces a new Fragrance Zone, featuring a Scent Bar and an Evolution of Fragrance showcase.

This zone will also host the event's first Fragrance Awards, recognizing new developments in the category. The educational program will address changing consumer product performance expectations.

Formulation, Trends, and Co-location

The Formulation Lab, supported by Personal Care Magazine, will feature experts discussing next-generation formulations, sensory experience in product development, and sustainable approaches. Technical seminars will cover developments in biotechnology, active ingredients, and skin longevity, alongside formulation and delivery techniques.

The Marketing Trends program will present Asian and global beauty trends, with case studies from international brands such as Unilever, L'Oréal, and P&G. Attendees can also participate in The Creators' Forum and Ask the Experts sessions for direct industry discussions.

The event is co-located with COSMEX, an exhibition for personal care and dietary supplement manufacturing, packaging, and OEM/ODM services.

Implications for Asia's Beauty Sector

The expanded in-cosmetics Asia event provides a platform for Asian beauty companies to source new ingredients and understand evolving consumer demands. For brand teams and formulators, the focus on biotechnology, advanced delivery systems, and skin longevity presents avenues for product innovation.

The co-location with COSMEX also offers a view into manufacturing and packaging solutions crucial for scaling new product lines. This gathering allows regional players to assess ingredient advancements and market trends, helping them respond to consumer interest in effective, evidence-led products, particularly in areas like preventative skin care and sensory experiences.
