LG H&H Places Dr.Groot Hair Care in 424 US Sephora Stores
LG Household & Health Care expanded its Dr.Groot scalp care brand into 424 Sephora stores across the United States. This move follows an earlier online launch and a smaller retail trial.

Dr.Groot Expands US Retail Footprint
LG Household & Health Care (LG H&H) expanded its Dr.Groot scalp and hair care brand into 424 Sephora stores across the United States. This significant retail placement began on August 15, 2026. The rollout introduced 14 Dr.Groot products to these locations. This move follows the brand's earlier online debut via Sephora.com in March 2026.
Dr.Groot also underwent a trial phase in approximately 90 Sephora stores in May 2026. LG H&H stated this action aims to strengthen Dr.Groot's physical retail distribution across the North American market.
Strategic In-Store Placement
LG H&H emphasized that Dr.Groot products are positioned in several prominent areas within Sephora stores. These high-visibility placements include end-cap displays. The brand also features in dedicated sections labeled "Next Big Thing" and "K-Hair." The product selection available includes the Hair Thickening Shampoo, Miracle In-Shower Treatment, and Roll-On Serum.
Additionally, Sephora-exclusive gift sets are part of the offering. This strategic positioning supports LG H&H's goal to establish Dr.Groot as a premium hair and scalp care brand in the region.
Broader North American Presence
This Sephora expansion complements Dr.Groot's existing North American retail footprint. The brand maintains a presence in over 600 Costco stores across the US, Canada, and Mexico. LG H&H reported a 153 percent year-on-year increase in Dr.Groot's Amazon sales during the first half of 2026. These combined distribution channels demonstrate LG H&H's multi-faceted strategy. The company aims to grow its K-beauty hair care presence significantly outside of its home market.
Implications for Asian Beauty Brands
For Asian beauty brands, this expansion highlights a growing retail opportunity in North America. It demonstrates that K-beauty's market appeal now extends beyond traditional skincare and cosmetics, reaching into the hair care category. Companies can examine LG H&H's strategy for premium brand entry and multi-channel distribution.
This provides a clear framework for other Asian beauty firms considering similar market entries. It shows the potential for K-beauty brands to secure substantial shelf space in major Western retailers.
