TWG Tea Opens 2,400 Sq Ft Macau Flagship
The Singaporean luxury tea brand introduces its combined retail, dining, and takeaway concept to Studio City Macau, following a major travel retail flagship launch in Singapore earlier this month.

Macau Flagship Unveiled
TWG Tea, the Singaporean luxury tea brand, has launched its first comprehensive experiential concept in Macau, opening a 2,400 square foot Tea Salon & Boutique at Studio City Macau. This new flagship integrates retail, dining, and takeaway services, offering customers a complete brand immersion.
The boutique features an extensive selection of teas, including signature blends like Silver Moon Tea, 1837 Black Tea, and French Earl Grey. It also stocks 176 single-estate harvests and exclusive blends, alongside a range of tea accessories, curated gift sets, and TWG Tea Teddies. The adjoining Tea Salon provides an all-day menu of tea-infused dishes, afternoon tea, patisseries, and ice cream.
Elevated Design and Takeaway Concept
The interior design of the Macau flagship significantly contributes to the brand's luxury positioning. It incorporates rich red and amber tones, complemented by mirrored walls and brushed-brass accents. Italian marble and antique furnishings complete the sophisticated aesthetic, creating an inviting atmosphere for guests.
This new location also introduces TWG Tea's enhanced Takeaway Tea concept to Macau. This service offers hot and iced beverages prepared using the brand’s specific infusion methods and filtered water, ensuring consistent quality.
The Takeaway Tea concept, first launched in September 2020, has expanded to 13 locations spanning Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, demonstrating the brand's commitment to diverse retail formats.
Strategic Regional Expansion
This expansion into Macau builds on TWG Tea's broader growth strategy across Asia. The opening follows another significant launch earlier this month, when TWG Tea unveiled its largest global flagship at Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 3.
That Singapore outlet established a luxury travel retail presence, combining tea retail, brand heritage, and a full food and beverage experience within a high-traffic international hub. These consecutive openings underscore the brand's strategic focus on strengthening its presence in key luxury markets and travel retail channels within the region.
Implications for Asia's Luxury Market
These strategic openings in Macau and Singapore highlight TWG Tea's commitment to experiential retail and targeted presence in high-traffic, luxury-oriented locations across Asia.
For other premium consumer brands, including those in beauty and personal care, these expansions show the value of integrating diverse service offerings like dining with retail to engage affluent consumers. The brand's focus on a strong narrative and sophisticated store design offers a model for reinforcing brand perception and driving sales.
This approach is particularly relevant in Asia, where luxury spending remains a significant market driver and consumers seek immersive brand activities.
