Medicube US Sales Up 85% on Amazon, Debuts in Europe
Korean beauty brand Medicube achieved record daily sales for skincare and devices during Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days, marking its debut in five European markets.

Medicube's Record Sales Performance
APR's beauty brand Medicube reported record daily sales across all participating markets during Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days, held on October 6 and 7. Sales in the United States surged by approximately 85 percent compared to the previous year's event.
This shopping period also marked Medicube's initial entry into five European countries: the United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, Italy, and France, complementing its established presence in the US market. The brand's success during this major online retail event shows its growing reach in key Western markets.
Strong Product Rankings Across Markets
Medicube products also performed strongly in Amazon's internal search rankings, reaching the top overall spot in several markets including the United States, the United Kingdom, Italy, and Spain. The brand had previously secured the top position in US searches during Prime Day in June. In the US, 13 Medicube products were listed among Amazon's top 100 beauty bestsellers.
European markets saw an average of at least 16 Medicube products each in the top 100, an increase from seven products during the prior promotional period. Popular items included the Zero Pore Pad, PDRN Pink Peptide Ampoule, and Collagen Jelly Cream, alongside newer offerings like the PDRN Pink Collagen Volume Multi Balm.
APR's Global Expansion Strategy
APR has intensified its expansion efforts across the United States and Europe throughout this year. This strategy involves localized product launches, opening pop-up stores, and broadening offline distribution channels. The company plans further promotions and new product releases leading up to the Black Friday and Christmas shopping seasons.
An APR official stated the company's commitment to meeting global consumer demand through a combination of differentiated products and promotional activities. This strategic focus aims to solidify Medicube's position in competitive international beauty markets.
Implications for Asian Beauty Brands
Medicube's strong performance in new and established Western e-commerce markets provides a blueprint for other Asian beauty brands seeking global expansion. Its strategy of combining online sales events with localized product development and offline presence shows a viable path for market entry and growth.
The success in topping search rankings and placing multiple products on bestseller lists suggests that a targeted digital marketing approach, coupled with a diverse product portfolio, can effectively capture consumer attention in highly competitive regions like Europe and North America. Asian brands can consider similar multi-channel strategies to replicate this success.
