South Korea's APR Draws 15,000 to Medicube Pop-Ups
The Medicube Wellness Club X2 tour showcased its Booster Pro X2 device and skincare in four major cities, driving plans for expanded offline retail in North America and Europe.

Medicube's Intercontinental Pop-Up Success
South Korean beauty company APR's flagship brand, Medicube, attracted approximately 15,000 visitors during its recent pop-up tour across the United States and Europe. The "Medicube Wellness Club X2" tour ran from September through October 2026, marking the brand's first intercontinental pop-up initiative.
Events took place in New York City from September 10-12, Los Angeles from September 25-27, London from October 9-11, and Paris on October 23-24 and October 26. APR stated this campaign is part of its strategy to expand Medicube's global retail presence.
Showcasing New Devices and Skincare
Each pop-up location drew an average of over 1,000 daily visitors, according to APR. The events showcased Medicube's new Booster Pro X2 beauty device alongside its range of skincare products. Visitors received personalized recommendations for the Booster Pro X2's treatment modes, tailored to their specific skin concerns, and could test the device with Medicube skincare.
The London and Paris events were Medicube's first standalone pop-ups in Europe since its initial market entry. APR reported rapid advance reservation fills and long queues at both European venues.
Planned Retail Expansion in Western Markets
Building on the success of the tour, APR intends to grow Medicube's offline retail footprint in both North America and Europe. The company has scheduled another pop-up event for Madrid this November, in collaboration with Spanish drugstore chain Primor. This initiative is part of APR's broader effort to secure additional retail partnerships in international markets.
An APR official noted that the pop-ups allowed the company to assess local consumer interest and introduce Medicube's brand identity directly to new audiences.
Implications for Global K-Beauty Expansion
Medicube's successful pop-up tour demonstrates a viable strategy for Asian beauty brands seeking to expand their global reach through direct consumer engagement. By investing in experiential retail before committing to permanent physical stores, brands can gather market intelligence, test product appeal, and build brand awareness in new regions.
This approach helps validate consumer demand and refine market entry strategies for K-beauty players aiming to establish a stronger presence in Western markets like North America and Europe, potentially reducing risks associated with large-scale retail expansion.
