Aptar Beauty Debuts Refillable Spray for Bvlgari Tygar Fragrance
Aptar Beauty's new Nomad Refill system features a 10 ml glass vial and a patented spill-free connector, designed for Bvlgari's iconic Tygar scent.

Aptar Beauty's Nomad Refill System
Aptar Beauty has introduced its Nomad Refill fragrance packaging innovation with a new travel spray for Bvlgari's Tygar, a fragrance from the Le Gemme collection. This launch marks the first market appearance of the Nomad Refill concept. The portable solution combines an elegant outer casing with a refillable 10 ml glass vial.
It aims to blend high-end aesthetics with an intuitive refilling process, offering consumers a luxurious and convenient option for on-the-go fragrance use. The system is designed to provide a refined touch-up experience for users.
Refill Mechanism and Pump Technology
The internal glass vial detaches easily from the bottom of the main casing. Refilling is straightforward, utilizing a patented integrated connector at the vial's base, which is compatible with SNI15 screw-on neck finishes. This sealed connection helps prevent leaks and spills during the refill process, improving both user convenience and product integrity.
Aptar Beauty states this new refill method is distinct in the market, enhancing the user experience for portable fragrance applications. The travel spray also incorporates Aptar Beauty's Classic Inune prestige fragrance pump, which features an invisible, POM-free mechanism, a metal-free pathway, and provides a soft actuation with a fine, quick spray.
Luxury Design and Engineering
The Tygar travel spray features a sleek black anodized aluminum casing, accented with gold finishes. It is topped with a black marble cap, distinguished by its white veining, and includes a magnetic closure for precise opening and closing. A gold-toned aluminum plaque engraved with the Bvlgari signature logo adorns the top of the cap.
Both the manufacturing and assembly stages required extensive design and engineering work to ensure the marble, aluminum, metallic components, and dispensing system fit together precisely into a durable, portable package.
Stephan Brandts, Senior Sales Manager Custom Beauty EMEA at Aptar Beauty, noted that integrating natural marble into the design was a significant technical achievement, with custom experts collaborating closely with Bvlgari to ensure visual consistency and smooth assembly.
Implications for Asian Packaging Suppliers
This collaboration between Aptar Beauty and Bvlgari sets a benchmark for luxury refillable packaging, particularly for travel-sized fragrances. For Asian packaging manufacturers and design firms, the technical challenges overcome in integrating diverse materials like marble, aluminum, and advanced dispensing systems could drive new development in sustainable luxury solutions.
Brands in markets such as South Korea and Japan, known for innovation in personal care, may consider similar high-end refillable formats to meet evolving consumer demand for both luxury and environmental responsibility. This trend highlights a potential shift in sourcing requirements for intricate, multi-material packaging components from regional suppliers.
