Daewoong Pharmaceutical Reports 20% Nabota Sales Growth in South America
Daewoong Pharmaceutical's Nabota botulinum toxin product sees 20% annual sales growth in South America, supported by a Master Class in Buenos Aires.

Nabota's South American Expansion
Daewoong Pharmaceutical's botulinum toxin (BTX) product, Nabota, has recorded a 20 percent annual sales increase across South America over the last three years. This growth rate has surpassed the overall global botulinum toxin market, according to the Korean drugmaker.
Daewoong began its expansion into Latin America in 2015, starting with Panama, and has since introduced Nabota in 12 countries, including key markets like Brazil, Argentina, Chile, and Peru. Notably, Nabota was the first Korean-made BTX product to secure regulatory approval for entry into the Argentine market. This strategic focus on Latin America has positioned Nabota for continued regional market penetration.
Latin American Master Class in Buenos Aires
To support its regional growth, Daewoong recently conducted its largest multinational Nabota Master Class (NMC) in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The event, titled "NABOTA Master Class LATAM 2026," convened approximately 200 medical professionals from six countries: Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, Peru, and Panama.
Seven expert speakers from Korea, Brazil, Argentina, and Dubai shared clinical insights, focusing on injection techniques adapted for Latin American patients' anatomical features and treatment needs.
Sessions covered specific Nabota injection protocols, including NaboLift and NaboGlow for lifting and skin quality improvement, alongside applications for hyperhidrosis and masseter muscle injections. Live demonstrations showcased techniques such as GlowTox, which combines botulinum toxin with skin boosters.
Regional Market Outlook and Future Strategy
The Latin American aesthetic injectables market was valued at $520.3 million in 2025, with projections for a 9 percent annual growth rate through 2033, as per Grand View Research. Argentina's specific market is anticipated to expand by 9.3 percent annually during the same period.
Yoon Jun-soo, head of Daewoong's Nabota Business Division, stated that the company intends to broaden its educational initiatives to align with regional clinical requirements. He also emphasized strengthening collaborations with medical professionals globally.
Yoon highlighted the recent Master Class as significant for integrating clinical expertise from diverse regions to explore Nabota's varied applications.
Implications for Asian Aesthetics Brands
Daewoong Pharmaceutical's success with Nabota in Latin America provides a clear roadmap for other Asian medical aesthetics companies considering expansion into emerging markets.
The 20 percent annual sales growth over three years demonstrates significant demand for innovative aesthetic solutions, particularly in a market projected to reach $520.3 million in 2025 and grow 9 percent annually through 2033.
For Korean and other Asian manufacturers, this suggests that investment in localized education and training, as exemplified by Daewoong's Master Class, is crucial for market penetration and building professional trust.
Brands should focus on understanding regional patient characteristics and tailoring product application protocols to secure regulatory approvals and foster long-term growth in these high-potential markets.
