The awards recognize pioneering formulation concepts across two main categories: Technology & Disruption, and Sustainability & Ethics. Other prominent companies on the shortlists include Barentz, IMCD, Safic Alcan, Brenntag, Cornelius, Inolex, Uniproma, and Carst & Walker, all showcasing their latest advancements in ingredient science. The Laura Marshall awards honor the former chair of the SCS Formulate Scientific Programme Committee.

The Sustainability & Ethics category features six shortlisted concepts, emphasizing environmentally conscious and ethically sourced ingredients. Croda is nominated for its 'Adaptive Barrier Renewal Peptide Lotion'. Carst & Walker’s 'Dual PDRN Bi-Phasic Cell Regenerator' and Uniproma’s 'PDRN Soothing Repair Cream' are also recognized.

Other finalists include Cornelius for its 'Pro-Recovery Skin Wrap (Advanced Post Recovery Cream)', Brenntag with 'Second-Skin Complexion Perfector', and Inolex for its 'Shine Bright, Frizz Light Mask'. These innovations reflect the industry’s growing commitment to sustainable practices and responsible product development, addressing consumer demand for greener beauty solutions.
