Hugel's Summit for Global Professionals

South Korean medical aesthetics company Hugel recently hosted its Aesthetic Excellence Summit 2026, a three-day event designed to enhance global clinical expertise. Held from Wednesday to Friday, the summit gathered 20 medical professionals from diverse regions, including Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and South America.

As part of the biannual Hugel Expert Leader's Forum, the initiative aims to strengthen the practical skills of overseas practitioners while actively promoting the advancements and unique approaches of Korean aesthetic medicine on an international stage.

This structured training program underscores Hugel’s commitment to fostering global understanding and adoption of its aesthetic solutions.

Manufacturing Insights and Product Focus

The summit began with an exclusive tour of Hugel's manufacturing facilities. This allowed participants to observe the company's production and quality control processes firsthand. Interactive sessions showcased the mechanism of botulinum toxin, highlighting the "narrow diffusion" concept associated with Hugel's Letybo product.

Botulinum toxin, commonly used in aesthetic treatments, temporarily blocks nerve signals to muscles to reduce wrinkles. Letybo's "narrow diffusion" process is claimed to focus effects on targeted areas for more precise treatment outcomes. The sessions also detailed various stages of dermal filler production, providing a comprehensive view of the manufacturing pipeline.

Advanced Training and Techniques

The summit's second day was dedicated to in-depth anatomy training and practical workshops, conducted at the Catholic Institute for Applied Anatomy. Here, dermatologists Lee Kyu-ho and Yoon Chang-il, alongside Wonkwang University dentistry professor Kim Soo-bin, provided detailed instruction.

Their guidance focused on anatomically guided injection techniques for both botulinum toxin and hyaluronic acid fillers, ensuring precise application.

The final day concluded with plastic surgeon Seo Hyun-woo presenting the latest trends in aesthetic treatments and demonstrating facial injection protocols through a live session, offering real-time insights into advanced procedures.

Implications for K-Aesthetics Promotion

Hadeel Qudah, a dermatologist from Jordan, noted that the program offered valuable insights into Hugel's manufacturing standards and practical techniques applicable to clinical practice.

Shin Seung-jun, Executive Vice President of Hugel’s Medical Business Division, stated the company's intent to continue introducing international practitioners to the "philosophy of K-aesthetics." This includes evidence-based techniques and Hugel's commitment to quality.

This initiative positions Hugel to expand the global reach and adoption of Korean aesthetic practices and and products. For medical aesthetic clinics and distributors in Asia, this ongoing education strengthens the expertise available for K-beauty procedures and potentially increases demand for Hugel's portfolio, such as Letybo botulinum toxin and dermal fillers.
