Hugel Trains Global Professionals in K-Aesthetics Techniques
The Korean medical aesthetics firm gathered 20 specialists from five continents for its Aesthetic Excellence Summit last week, focusing on botulinum toxin and dermal filler applications.

Hugel's Global Aesthetic Summit in Korea
Medical aesthetics company Hugel recently concluded its Aesthetic Excellence Summit (AES) 2026 in Korea last week. The three-day event, held from Wednesday to Friday, brought together approximately 20 healthcare professionals from various regions, including Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and South America.
As a component of the Hugel Expert Leader's Forum (HELF), the company's established global academic symposium, AES aims to enhance the clinical skills and treatment methods of international medical practitioners. This program builds on a similar session conducted earlier in the year, reinforcing Hugel's commitment to advancing professional expertise in the field.
Advanced Techniques and Product Insights
The AES 2026 curriculum emphasized science-backed approaches to maximize product effectiveness and achieve natural aesthetic outcomes, Hugel stated on Monday. Participants gained insights into the manufacturing process of dermal fillers by examining material samples from different production stages.
A key interactive session demonstrated the "narrow diffusion" characteristic of Letybo, Hugel's botulinum toxin product. This involved assembling LEGO bricks to visually explain the toxin's mechanism of action and its specific binding affinity for neuronal receptors. Attendees also toured Hugel's production facilities, reviewing its quality management protocols.
Clinical Expertise and Live Demonstrations
The summit also included an anatomy workshop and practical training sessions conducted at the Catholic Institute for Applied Anatomy. Dr. Yi Kyu-ho and Dr. Yoon Chang-il from YOU&I Clinic's Mok-dong branch, alongside Professor Kim Soo-bin of Wonkwang University College of Dentistry, led these sessions.
They provided instruction on proper injection techniques for both botulinum toxin and hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers, stressing safe application principles informed by anatomical knowledge.
On the final day, Dr. Suh Hyeun-woo of VIBE Plastic Surgery Clinic presented current treatment trends and specific protocols for various injection sites, including live demonstrations to share practical clinical insights.
Bolstering K-Aesthetics Global Reach
Hugel's Vice President of the Medical Business Division, Dr. Shin Seung-jun, affirmed the company's dedication to continuously improving its products. He added that Hugel aims to disseminate the philosophy of K-aesthetics, its scientifically supported methods, and its quality advantages to healthcare professionals worldwide.
For Asia's beauty economy, initiatives like AES strengthen the global perception of Korean medical aesthetics as a hub for advanced training and product development. This outreach can foster greater international adoption of Korean aesthetic treatments and technologies, potentially increasing demand for related products and services from the region.
